Our founder, Eddy Whitley, has been involved in the construction industry for many years, working in various roles from Project Manager to community organizer. In 2009, he purchased a struggling interior finishes company with the goal of building it into a premier commercial drywall and metal stud contracting operation. Since then, Whitley Construction has doubled in size and expanded its operations to include offices in St. Louis and Denver.

As a union shop signatory with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, and The Laborers International Union of North America, we specialize in a range of commercial interior and exterior construction services. Our areas of expertise include commercial, industrial, institutional, and government operations under the jurisdiction of GSA, USACE, or VA. We're also focused on growing our business in the commercial, residential and interior finishes sectors.

We're proud to have contributed to many landmark projects in the Kansas City area, including the renovation of schools, libraries, and the KCI airport terminal and parking garage. But our commitment to our community goes beyond our work. Eddy has been actively involved in organizations like the Kansas City Builders Association and Starlight Theater, and he and his wife Tracie enjoy traveling and spending time with their daughter Grace in New York City.
